Beach Trip

Image
So Cory's sister Vanessa and her family came from Wyoming. Yesterday we went to the beach and went crabbing a little bit and played on the beach and went to the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Here's a few pictures. A couple of starfish that were in a couple of the baskets. Cory and Alyssa at the touch pool. Looking at the fish (Cory, Eliana & Alyssa) Kenize & Alyssa Hugging Eliana, Siosi, Alyssa, & Peyton Alyssa and the cousins.
I have updated Alyssa's potty training blog.

A little update

So yesterday we found out that we are being moved up to Valiant 10 from nursery. So instead of having 5-8 kids in nursery, we get 5 10 year olds. Three of the 5 are pretty good. This week I have my 36 week appointment. Last week at my 35 week appointment I found out the baby is really low and I am 50% thinned. Alyssa is having some troubles going poop still in her potty chair, but otherwise all is good.

Father's Day!

Image
So yesterday Cory celebrated his third Father's Day. I made blueberry muffins, bacon, and eggs for breakfast for him. Than for dinner I did a roast in the Crockpot, and for desert I made my first pecan pie, well walnut pie. It's Cory's favorite pie! Alyssa got him a tie and some chocolates for father's day. I got him some jeans and the movie eragon.

Us!!

Not my best picture. We haven't had a family picture done in a while. Taken after Shawn's graduation. So we are doing pretty well. I can't believe that next month we will have another child. His name is going to be Owen ? Strasser. We haven't decided on a middle name for him yet. I hope to have one decided soon. He is definitely a wiggler. Alyssa has started calling him Owen. Before it was just baby brother. I have my 35 week appointment tomorrow. I am hoping to get another side profile picture. Alyssa is still potty training. There are some days where we are not successful and other's where's really good. I will post some in the potty training blog. So yesterday in nursery, Cory was building a tower and it fell over and I started kind of laughing and Alyssa said "Not funny mom". She is learning a lot each day. So she got a toddler bed from Cory's parents. From a garage sale for $25 with a mattress. She slept in it all last night. The night before...

Cory's Graduated!!!

Image
So Cory has graduated! He's excited but worried, cause he didn't get a job. He passed all of his classes. My grandpa is really proud of him because nobody in my dad's side of the family ever graduated from college. I am really proud of Cory! He will eventually find a job. So if anyone hears of openings let us know. So Saturday we had a barbecue for Cory's graduation at the park. We had family from Salem come. I got him the OSU balloon. There were 2 orange and 2 black but one of the black one's popped. I made him a cake. I didn't get a picture of the cake. Cory's balloons Just a random picture of Cory

So yesterday was our 4 year anniversary. We went to Salem and Cory's mom watched Alyssa while we went out. We went to Olive Garden, went for a walk down at the riverfront, than we went miniature golfing. I got a hole in one. Cory beat me though, 52-58. So I got Cory a shirt and the movie National Treasure 2. He got me the movie Ever After, and the flowers that are in the picture below.
So today is our anniversary. We have been married 4 years now. I will try posting more tomorrow.

Random Pictures Of Alyssa

Alyssa's Rash Alyssa being silly She does have underwear on.
So Saturday & Sunday Alyssa had a fever. We didn't have her go to church cause I didn't want to pass it to the other kids in nursery. We thought she was just sick. Well yesterday she broke out into a rash. So now she has roseola . She is not allowed to be around other kids for a while. I was hoping to do something for Cory for a celebration for graduation and that won't happen for a while. Plus we were going to go out on a date tomorrow, cause tomorrow it's our 4 year anniversary. Potty training didn't go well yesterday because her bottom hurt. I did stick her in the bathtub with baking soda to help with relieving the itch cause you not suppose to put cremes on it. So I went in to check on her and she had pooped in the bathtub. We are just having fun around here! So we are still thinking of what to name the baby.

So this week is finals. Cory has one tonight and than one in the morning. We tried seeing if he could be in the graduation ceremony, and I guess the deadline was April 30th so he will not be walking. I am going to try and do a little party sometime. I think he wants to find out his grades before we actually do something to celebrate his graduation. So not sure when we will have a little celebration. I am very excited that he will be done after this week. But he is a little upset that he hasn't gotten any offers. He didn't her back from Amazon. I have my 35 week appointment next Tuesday. I can't believe that it's getting so close. Time has really flew with this pregnancy. He is a major wiggler much more than Alyssa was. Alyssa is still going at the potty training. I did up date the blog about her potty training. Yesterday was her first without any accidents. So we are making progress. So Alyssa likes to put random things on her head and say hat. Cory actually taught he...
I have updated the potty training blog. http://alyssapottytrain.blogspot.com/
So next month we will have another child. Cory is hoping I don't go really early such as within the next two weeks cause of finals. Which I don't think would happen. I am almost a full 33 weeks. I am getting excited. We have a couple of names picked out. When we have officially picked a full name for the baby I will write it on here. We will be married 4 years on June 12th. We probably won't be going anywhere cause of finals. Cory graduates in two weeks. He will not be walking. This week is Dead Week. He went to meet with two groups tonight, cause he has two presentations this week. He has a job interview also this week along with studying for next week. Alyssa is progressing some on the potty training. Still haven't gotten her to go poop yet on the toilet. There has been days where she has gone three times on the toilet. She hides when she needs to go poop. She is learning her shapes now and we are teaching her how to count. She has also learned her dark and light of c...

Getting ready......

Tonight I went through all the baby clothes in the garage to find all the neutral stuff, and figure out what we need. All we need is 3-6 months clothes and diapers. I can't really think of anything else that we need. We have everything ready to wash. But we need to switch dressers around. So I have somewhere to put clean baby clothes. I am hoping to get a toddler bed for Alyssa. So that she is use to the bed before the baby is born. So if anyone hears of someone not needing a toddler bed anymore let me know. We could really use it. So today we went to the park and barbecued with some friends.

Potty Training With Alyssa

I have made a potty training blog. The link is in the family and friends section.

A little update......

Graduation is approaching on Cory. He is spending the day at the school working on a paper that is due here pretty quick. I am getting excited cause my due date is approaching also. I just am not excited about the pain of labor. Alyssa is working on becoming potty trained. Which we are definitely excited about cause her diapers smell. She has had several accidents. But two positive experiences in the past couple of days. She requested yesterday to have help on the potty chair and she went pee. YAY!!! Hoping to have another success today. On another note, this baby is way more wiggly than Alyssa was in me.

It's Been A Year.....

Image
So a year ago tomorrow, May 25th, we lost my step-dad to cancer. He has been missed alot. It was sad that he died at such a young age of 47. But just to know that he isn't in pain and he isn't going through all of it is reassuring. This was taken before he started all of his treatments. Have some good memories of him. I was hoping to go and put flowers on his grave. I haven't been to the cemetery since the funeral because we live aways from the cemetery. Some things that I remember that are kind of depressing, but I will always remember. A few days before when he was in the nursing home. Alyssa and I went to visit him, he was wanting to hold Alyssa and he didn't have the strength to hold her, from not being able to eat. But she was also being a pill to. Mark was happy that Alyssa was born. Cause she was the first grandchild, even though they aren't blood related. Mark and I comparing belly's. I was pregnant with Alyssa and we thought it would be funny to compar...

Food Storage

So every month I have been going to a emergency preparedness class. I have been getting a whole lot of ideas about what should be in it and how to use. Basically I have been getting ideas of what I can do when I actually have the money and the space to start my food storage. I know we should have one already, but the lack of money comes into play. At least I am starting a binder and storing all the info that I get. I was told about a website that looks really good. http://simplylivingsmart.com/
