Alyssa's Birthday Cake

So there a couple of cake ideas I have for Alyssa's birthday. I know this one will take some work: http://www.andreasrecipes.com/2006/11/11/ little-einsteins-rocket-birthday-cake/ Or I was thinking of getting just an Elmo cake pan: http://www.birthdaydirect.com/elmo-cake-pan-p-2773.html I will probably come up with other ideas. But those are my starter ideas.

A little update!

So I am counting down the days until we find out what we are having. I have been really nauseated. I am starting to gain some weight. I have been eating more than usual. I can't believe I am almost half way through this. Alyssa is getting big. I am trying to think of what to do for her birthday. I know that it is a little over a month away. I have thought of so many cake ideas and haven't narrowed it down to one decision. Cory has been turning in applications. So we will see what will happen and where we will be living. He has been a little busy with school trying to keep up his grades. So the other night I was reading Alyssa some nursery rhymes. After reading them several times, Cory and I were talking about how some of them are morphed. Rock-a-bye-baby- They baby falling out of the tree There Was an Old Women- Whipped her children Goosey Goosey Gander- Throwing an old man down the stairs cause he wouldn't say his prayers I had a random thought yesterday I was talking...

Our Valentine's Day Part 2

Image
You need to read the previous post. So after class Cory came home with a box of chocolates, 3 roses, a card, and some balloons. I loved the roses they are very pretty. Alyssa really loves the balloons, so I just let her have them to play with. So for dinner we went to Ruby Tuesday. They have a special for Valentine's Day. Two people can eat for $34.95. It was a really good deal! So we got to choose one appetizer, either the salad bar or a Cesar salad, 2 entree's, and one desert. We also went and saw a movie. It was nice to get out for a few hours. Alyssa was really excited to go see Jeff & Stephanie, especially Ariana, Alyssa has gotten her name out once but she just calls her baby. So that was our Valentine's day. We had a really good time! Thanks Jeff & Stephanie for watching Alyssa for us!!!

Our Valentine's Day

Ok so I planned on fixing a really nice dinner for the 3 of us, like a couple of weeks ago. We didn't plan on going out, cause we really don't know a whole lot of people here that could watch Alyssa. Until like a few days before our friends Jeff & Stephanie asked what we were doing for valentines, and so they were going to watch her sister's cause her parents were going out, so they offered to watch Alyssa, which was very nice of them to do. Plus we don't get out much in the first place. So I decided the night before Valentine's Day I was going to decorate the table all cool, and since I haven't been a morning person. I planned on making Cory some pancakes with strawberries/whipped cream and scrambled eggs, which made me nauseated. So we had a candle light breakfast. Below is how I decorated the table. Valentines

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I will post tomorrow what we did today.

Our Weekend

Well Saturday we went over to the coast. Cause it was such a nice day. Cory and I were finally feeling better. It was alot of fun we did the Ripley's Believe It Or Not!, Wax Works, and the Undersea Gardens. Alyssa didn't like some of the wax statues. They had one of Johnny Depp, had some of the Star Wars character's, character's from Lord of the Rings. I was little freaked. Cause of the eyes. We plan on going back to the coast during spring break, to play on the beach. Alyssa really liked the Undersea Garden's. She really loved the crabs, every time she saw one she got really excited. Than we met some friends over there and had dinner. Yesterday David, Kimber and the kids came over to hang out and have some dinner. I am getting so excited for Spring. To be able to go outside and play with Alyssa. I am ready for nicer weather.

Last Night

Image
So last night was horrible. Alyssa got up several times. It was a really good thing that he doesn't have class on Friday's. So Cory and I got up several times with her last night. Well I got this picture this morning of the both of them. Alyssa was up a little bit this morning and decided she wanted to get in our bed with Cory. She loves to cuddle up to Cory. Well in the picture from this morning she isn't cuddled up to him she starts that way. The last time I got a picture like this was after the first night home from the hospital. I have posted both pictures. After the first night home from the hospital This morning
For all who have been curious when we are going to have the ultrasound done. It will be March 6th .

My Sickness

I got an email from Cory's aunt asking how I am doing. I have been holding food down. I have just been eating what sounds good. A lot of Mash Potato's. I am just nauseated and hoping not to throw up.

Me

So there is this bug that lasts like 24 to 48 hours, and I got it. Well I spent Monday night/ Tuesday Morning throwing up every other hour. From about 12-4. So I basically spent yesterday camped out on the futon. Drinking Gatorade and trying to eat some food (crackers, and toast). Well I kept it all down. I feeling a whole LOT better today. I also slept ALOT yesterday, with a touch of a fever.

Update

Ok So I have update the layout cause the dots were kind of making me sick. I was trying to add links, so if I don't have your link on here than send it to me so that I can add it. So we turned on Monster's Inc., and at the beginning Alyssa got scared. She has seen the movie several times before and hasn't gotten scared before.

Some Interesting News

I found a group on facebook, "Funeral Service for President Gordon B. Hinckley", http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=7615869798&ref=nf Some guy posted on there that Westboro Baptist Church members are going to be protesting in Salt Lake during the funeral tomorrow. Here is a link to the article about the protest. http://deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,695248839,00.html
