The Strasser's

So Saturday Owen left something on the floor and I didn't notice it on the floor. I was walking and holding Evan. As I was falling I held onto Evan tighter as I was going down. I bruised my knee pretty good along with the top of my foot. To top that off today I was carrying a box of textbooks and one fell out of the box and fell on my bruised foot, not the greatest feeling.

So now when I post sometimes I can't think of a title for the post. Sometimes it can be the same title that I have used before. But I have been trying to not repeat myself. I did  have the blog private not sure if I should go back to having it private at all. I have had a hectic schedule lately. So I hope to blog more later. Well I better get going on to my to do list.

That's right I am going to go see these guys in concert on Friday night.

Well Cory started his student teaching today. He has been observing this class for I believe two weeks now. He actually got into the classroom, student teaching, sooner than most of the other students that are in his classes. So when most of the other students are student teaching that he won't be busy like they will. He is actually starting another class today. So now he will be taking I believe 6 classes. He has been very busy. We, the kids and I, haven't seen him a whole lot because of him being at the school getting his homework done, class and than doing his observation hours. I am going to make him walk for graduation in June though. Because he didn't do that after he was done with OSU.

So when Evan was in the hospital they had told us that if we leave a disposable camera in the room that the nurses could take pictures of him since I couldn't come up all the time. So I left a camera up their by his bed so they could take some pictures for me. Well some of them didn't use the flash, I wished they would have but it's the thought that counts that they actually took some for me which I very much appreciate them doing. And some are overexposed.

Didn't get any of Alyssa because she was pretty close to me because they were getting really close. One goose actually stole bread out of Owen's hand. Owen liked to chase the them.

So my mom got sick and she asked if I could make some cupcakes for a bake sale that she was having today. So I took some pictures of some of them I made.

Well I was looking at some stats between the boys. Owen 4 months:19lbs 9oz Evan 4 months: 9lbs 9oz. It's amazing how much Owen weighed. He was always and kind of still is in the higher percentile. For Evan he hasn't Evan got on the scale.

Well I haven't actually mentioned this before but Evan has been a full time nurser now for a few weeks and has been going very well. I am glad that I am having to not mix bottles a whole lot unless he is being watched by Cory or someone else. I was actually at  the very beginning of he was actually going to be nursing or if he was just going to be bottle fed. I almost gave up on nursing him but now he is doing it. Now I have to return the pump back to the hospital. I have been renting a hospital grade one and it has been costing $45.00 a month.

I was trying to get a picture of him smiling because he has started smiling.  So here is a smile somewhat. 

yesterday it took like two hours for the kids to take their nap, here is the result. 

So we had nice weather today, and since Cory didn't have school we decided today would be the day to head to the pumpkin patch.

Well since today has been pretty busy tomorrow I am going to try to continue try potty training Owen. He only had one accident on the floor but he did go in his pull up some. So starting tomorrow it will be underwear at home and pull-ups when we are not. I did go running this morning with my sister -in-law. I am hoping I am a little better on the running tomorrow. I do want to run but just the thought of running doesn't sound so great. I think I ran close to 2 miles today. That is a lot for me I haven't done a whole lot of exercise  for a long time. I have tried it since having my c-section but I did not feel good after working out. Evan did have an appointment for physical therapy and he will probably have to have a helmet. So the pediatrician and I are going to talk about the physical therapist was talking to me about tomorrow and see what it thinks should be done for Evan. Well It has come down to it, I am starting the potty training. I know with being busy it doesn't sound like a great idea. Well his diapers are really expensive and I just getting plain tired of changing his sticky diapers. So far today has been going pretty good, giving him lots of water and he sat on his chair for a while and he went a little bit, but than Alyssa thought he should be checked and he actually could have went more in there so he went on the floor in the bathroom, but it's a good thing I still had the piece to the potty chair in my hand and I caught most of it. I have a jar with some candy in it as a reward to him. I forgot how hard potty training can be at the very beginning. So I guess I will see how the rest of the day is going to be :)
