The Strasser's

It has been a while since I have wrote, and I am sorry about that. I have been pretty busy, I have a lot on my plate right now and trying to get ready for Christmas, which I am not ready for. Ok so the last time I wrote I was writing about Thanksgiving. Well for Thanksgiving we had family visit. Cory's brother and his family came, along with one of his cousin's and another brother of Cory's. It was a lot of fun to see all the family that came into town, because we weren't able to make it to the family reunion this summer because of all the hospital stuff that was happening. My mom's cousin came and stayed with her, I hadn't seen him since I lived in Utah and I was pretty young. So we had two thanksgiving dinner's one at the strasser's and than another at the blommer's (my mom's). I tried not to eat very much because I am trying to lose weight. I am glad that I didn't gain hardly anything with having to big meals in one day. Well the...

Well I can't believe that this year is almost gone. It has been a very interesting one. I started doing a 2010  Live List  and didn't accomplish alot of it. Well I am going to compile my new Live List for 2011. I am also working on my Christmas letter and get the Christmas cards ordered. We did have a fun thanksgiving, especially having family in town. We have been going and going. I am ready to decorate for Christmas so I guess it's time to take down the fall decor and get ready for Christmas.  And to add to all of this now I am a little bit sick. Not the greatest thing right now!

Well for Thanksgiving Cory's brother's and his cousin came into town.  Cory and I had two thanksgiving dinner's first course of dinner was at his parents. Here are some pictures. While at the coast Heather and I got dresses for Alyssa and Ashlynn at old navy for $8.50 Evan met Estrella Some of the pies I know it's not rotated, but he was on this head playing with the train and by the time I got my camera he was off his head. I made this Chocolate cream pie, and it was delicious.

 Well Wednesday we went to the beach which was not a great day to be going, because 1) it was cold,2) it was the day before Thanksgiving, and the final one 3) it was cold. I waited in the nice warm van with Heather & Evan , while Cory went out with the kids on the boat. We tried going to the  Hatfield Marine Science Center  and it is closed on Tuesday's & Wednesday's which we didn't know. While Cory and the kids were on the boat Owen tripped and burned himself on the space heater, and his coat. Good thing Cory's cousin saw him and got him quick.

Oh my goodness my day did not go the greatest. I just don't know what else to say. Basically my day consisted of trimming Alyssa's hair, before that I was going to get back on the bandwagon for potty training Owen, and I have been lacking some energy and motivation and I need to get stuff done but I haven't done a whole lot today. I have also been trying to stay on my diet and I have not been the greatest about keeping on it over this weekend. So hopefully Tuesday will be a better day, because my to do list is long.

Well to start off my monday, the kids had breakfast and then i went into the kids room and found this....... It was on their floor by their closet. I was worried, I know she has been known when she sucks her thumb she twist's her hair and sometimes will get a knot and pull out her hair. Something she has been told many of times not to do.  After I questioned her, not yelling, questions like (what happened Alyssa? where do this come from? etc.).   I found out, she cut her own hair and it looked like it from the pile that is what happened.She showed me the area  where she did the damage and I guess we didn't spot it yesterday when it happened. Nap time of course is when it happened.  I was considering  trimming her hair anyway, and I hadn't mentioned it. So now her hair has been cut shorter to kind of even it out with the right side. I did the best of my ability, and I think the end result looks pretty cute. Here is what it looked like after...

He did wear actual shoes to Church but found his boots in the van, and than decided to put his boots on when we got home.  I know Alyssa has some crazy hair, I completely forgot to brush her hair this morning. 

Well I haven't been updating for a while. I didn't even update about Halloween. And I did say I was going to update sooner. Sorry to those who actually read this. I am sure who reads now. But I guess this is a place for me to update what we are up to. I am going to start working on my Christmas letter. So those of you, family and friends, I am going to be ordering Christmas cards let me know if you want one because I am trying to calculate how many would like one. I do have pictures and more to update I will try to get that done soon.

So I never mentioned how Celtic Thunder was well.........It was REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!!!! I would love to go see them in concert again. I definitely recommend going to their concert. I asked for this CD for Christmas.

So last night around 11:30 Owen came in to get into bed with us. Cory had noticed that he felt extremely hot. I got the thermometer and it came out to be 103.6. This morning I checked him and he was at 102.6. So all four of us ended up going to the doctor. I was not a happy camper. Alyssa was giving me attitude and yelling at Owen.  So the doctor looked at him and found that he has a swollen lymphoid. He is now on antibiotics. and I actually started getting a sore throat yesterday.  While we were there I asked the doctor to put in a referral for Evan. Yes Evan will be having a helmet. Not to excited about him having one but I am, his head is still flat on the back right part.  I also had him check my throat in case I might have strep again which came out negative which I am really happy. Just not fun being sick!  Well that is all for now!

So Saturday Owen left something on the floor and I didn't notice it on the floor. I was walking and holding Evan. As I was falling I held onto Evan tighter as I was going down. I bruised my knee pretty good along with the top of my foot. To top that off today I was carrying a box of textbooks and one fell out of the box and fell on my bruised foot, not the greatest feeling.

So now when I post sometimes I can't think of a title for the post. Sometimes it can be the same title that I have used before. But I have been trying to not repeat myself. I did  have the blog private not sure if I should go back to having it private at all. I have had a hectic schedule lately. So I hope to blog more later. Well I better get going on to my to do list.

That's right I am going to go see these guys in concert on Friday night.

Well Cory started his student teaching today. He has been observing this class for I believe two weeks now. He actually got into the classroom, student teaching, sooner than most of the other students that are in his classes. So when most of the other students are student teaching that he won't be busy like they will. He is actually starting another class today. So now he will be taking I believe 6 classes. He has been very busy. We, the kids and I, haven't seen him a whole lot because of him being at the school getting his homework done, class and than doing his observation hours. I am going to make him walk for graduation in June though. Because he didn't do that after he was done with OSU.

So when Evan was in the hospital they had told us that if we leave a disposable camera in the room that the nurses could take pictures of him since I couldn't come up all the time. So I left a camera up their by his bed so they could take some pictures for me. Well some of them didn't use the flash, I wished they would have but it's the thought that counts that they actually took some for me which I very much appreciate them doing. And some are overexposed.

Didn't get any of Alyssa because she was pretty close to me because they were getting really close. One goose actually stole bread out of Owen's hand. Owen liked to chase the them.

So my mom got sick and she asked if I could make some cupcakes for a bake sale that she was having today. So I took some pictures of some of them I made.
