The Strasser's

So I have a vote going on for baby names on facebook in the strasser net group. I am going to post the list of names we are considering on here so we can get more input. So post a comment on which one you like. Than we will narrow it down. Skyler Dean Zach Leroy Sam Levi Kyle So I am doing pretty good. I know I haven't posted many pictures in a long time. Well Easter weekend is coming up so I should be taking some pictures. Hopefully a lot of pictures. Alyssa is getting big. She is learning her colors and is doing pretty well, she gets green and blue mixed up sometimes. I am trying to work with her each day.

So Cory is flying to Sacramento on Monday, for a job interview.

Well the heartburn stage has started. It's not real bad right now. I remember last time that I didn't enjoy this part at all last pregnancy because I threw up more. So if anyone has any suggestions for heartburn please send them. Tums don't work though so. This baby is a mover. The other night Cory and I sat feeling the baby move, and listened to the heartbeat. I plan on posting a pregnancy profile picture soon. I just have to catch Cory when he's not so busy this week. So one of the entries earlier I didn't put the word umbilical in so I have had a call or two about that so I have put that in there. But I will put updates of how it goes with that.

So I stayed up late last night to help Cory get ready for today. Help him fill out an application, iron white shirt, and cut his hair. He was trying to finish an assignment that is due today. Cory went to an interview in Vancouver today. He has two interviews with the company today, Fisher Investments. He has a whole day thing there they are going to take him out for lunch and dinner, he has 2 interviews in the afternoon, and a whole bunch of informational stuff. So today I am going to clean.

So this week is Dead week. Cory has been pretty busy so far this week with projects, presentations, and a final yesterday. Next week he has one final than the next morning he has two finals back to back. Yesterday I went to the campus to give him a little break from studying so we walked around the campus a little bit, to help relief some of the stress. On Monday he has a job interview. So Cory is going to really like Spring Break to have some sort of break from school. Well I think I might be coming down with what Alyssa had. It was very nice of her to share, Cory might have a little of it. Which is not good because of finals. So the other day the doctor called to talk about the ultrasound. Everything looks good, expect for the umbilical cord. The umbilical cord is suppose to have 2 arteries and 1 vein in it, well the one inside me only has 1 artery and 1 vein. So there is a chance of a low birth weight. Well the baby is up to weight right now. They are worried about later on. If I ...

Well I have been trying to keep busy. Trying not to get sick. There have been some days were I just feel really nauseated and tired, and there are others were I am not. I have busy trying to keep the apartment cleaned, the books, and trying to make Alyssa feel better. I am going to have to buy maternity clothes here pretty quick, Cory had thought I had more. Plus I need some summer maternity clothes. I have been taking a parenting class with some the ladies in the stake. I have learning some new stuff each time I go. I am really waiting for the class called "thumb suckers, & toilet training". Just because Alyssa is a thumb sucker, and we are having problems trying to get her potty trained. There is a link on the blog called "Mom's & Muffins". So that's basically what I have been up to!

Lately Alyssa has been sick. She has a cough, runny nose, sneezing, and water eyes. So she has basically just been sitting down/laying down, either wanting to read or watch movies. Some of the things she has been liking to do lately is: She likes to pat on her back, Cory's back, and my back, and say "K". Asking if we are all right. She has been wanting lots of baths with bubbles. She loves to go outside.

Well Cory is almost done with his winter term. Than he only has one term left. He has been trying to apply to jobs. He had a interview yesterday with a investment company. There a couple of company's that he would like to work for. He's going to visit one of the company's, hopefully over spring break. He's been VERY busy with school, with a few papers, and projects.

So I have posted pictures of our new edition. I have had a couple of people ask how I feel about having a boy. It will be really new experience. I was hoping for another girl. But there is really nothing that I could do. I do hope I get another girl though in the future. But having a boy will be really fun. I know that means I will have to buy a whole new bunch of clothes and stuff. I am hoping to get a new outfit for the baby pretty soon. So it will be the first outfit. I was told by one of the girls in the parenting class, that boys clothes are fun to shop for now, because they have become more cute. I am excited about this baby. It will give Alyssa someone to play with. So when we went and had the ultrasound done. Alyssa kept pointing at the screen saying baby. So we were asking about billing for the ultrasound. We found out how much the ultrasound is going to cost us, $407. And now that we know it's a boy, there's the circumcision. We will have to see how much that'...

Well I am feeling up my bladder as we speak with water. I have already downed 1 water bottle almost half way through the second. This morning I took Alyssa took the doctor. She has a really bad cough, a runny nose, some congestion, water eyes and some sneezing. Then in like a couple of hours I get to go back to the clinic for the ultrasound. I am getting so anxious cause I really want to know what we are having. When I get back I will try posting pictures and tell how it went. We are taking Alyssa with us! So it should be interesting.

So we have had people ask when we are going to find out what we are having. Well we find tomorrow! So I will probably post it on here. Alyssa is sick! I think I am going to take her into the doctor.

So I am counting down the days until we find out what we are having. I have been really nauseated. I am starting to gain some weight. I have been eating more than usual. I can't believe I am almost half way through this. Alyssa is getting big. I am trying to think of what to do for her birthday. I know that it is a little over a month away. I have thought of so many cake ideas and haven't narrowed it down to one decision. Cory has been turning in applications. So we will see what will happen and where we will be living. He has been a little busy with school trying to keep up his grades. So the other night I was reading Alyssa some nursery rhymes. After reading them several times, Cory and I were talking about how some of them are morphed. You need to read the previous post. So after class Cory came home with a box of chocolates, 3 roses, a card, and some balloons. I loved the roses they are very pretty. Alyssa really loves the balloons, so I just let her have them to play with. So for dinner we went to Ruby Tuesday. They have a special for Valentine's Day. Two people can eat for $34.95. It was a really good deal! So we got to choose one appetizer, either the salad bar or a Cesar salad, 2 entree's, and one desert. We also went and saw a movie. It was nice to get out for a few hours. Alyssa was really excited to go see Jeff & Stephanie, especially Ariana, Alyssa has gotten her name out once but she just calls her baby. So that was our Valentine's day. We had a really good time! Ok so I planned on fixing a really nice dinner for the 3 of us, like a couple of weeks ago. We didn't plan on going out, cause we really don't know a whole lot of people here that could watch Alyssa. Until like a few days before our friends Jeff & Stephanie asked what we were doing for valentines, and so they were going to watch her sister's cause her parents were going out, so they offered to watch Alyssa, which was very nice of them to do. Plus we don't get out much in the first place. So I decided the night before Valentine's Day I was going to decorate the table all cool, and since I haven't been a morning person. I planned on making Cory some pancakes with strawberries/whipped cream and scrambled eggs, which made me nauseated. So we had a candle light breakfast. Below is how I decorated the table. Well Saturday we went over to the coast. Cause it was such a nice day. Cory and I were finally feeling better. It was alot of fun we did the Ripley's Believe It Or Not!, Wax Works, and the Undersea Gardens. Alyssa didn't like some of the wax statues. They had one of Johnny Depp, had some of the Star Wars character's, character's from Lord of the Rings. I was little freaked. Cause of the eyes. We plan on going back to the coast during spring break, to play on the beach. Alyssa really liked the Undersea Garden's. She really loved the crabs, every time she saw one she got really excited. Than we met some friends over there and had dinner. Yesterday David, Kimber and the kids came over to hang out and have some dinner. I am getting so excited for Spring. To be able to go outside and play with Alyssa. I am ready for nicer weather.

So last night was horrible. Alyssa got up several times. It was a really good thing that he doesn't have class on Friday's. So Cory and I got up several times with her last night. Well I got this picture this morning of the both of them. Alyssa was up a little bit this morning and decided she wanted to get in our bed with Cory. She loves to cuddle up to Cory. Well in the picture from this morning she isn't cuddled up to him she starts that way. The last time I got a picture like this was after the first night home from the hospital.
