Last night was not the greatest. I think I got about 4 1/2 to maybe 5 hours of sleep. I know I should be in bed. So today was not the greatest, and it was a LONG day. that is all for now!

Alyssa

Alyssa: "It would be boring if everyone were the same." Cory: "Why do you think it would be boring?" Alyssa: "I don't know, I learned that from my Angelina ballerina movie"
Well it's been like a week since I have lasted blogged I was doing pretty good I think for a little while. I have been working on stuff, I have been trying to declutter the house and get more organized. Which is kind of hard sometimes with kids. We have been working on better schedules for us. I have been getting up early enough that the kids aren't up and I am able to get a workout in, well not this morning I didn't get up early like I should have. So hopefully tomorrow I can get one in. So we drove past the school that Alyssa should be attending in September and there are heavy screens, something like bars basically on the windows, not on all the window's but basically all of them. Not sure if I really want her going to the school. We have been pretty consist reading scripture's, it's the kids scripture story book is what we have been reading. They like it because of the pictures. Cory starts student teaching tomorrow. He will be teaching at local  mid...

Exercising

I have been trying to get up everyday at the same time as Cory. Which this morning I slept in a little longer which was not good because we are trying to stay on the same schedule. But I have been trying to do a different  exercise video each day yesterday I did this video . I knew I was going to be sore today after that. So today I actually used it as a rest day because it even hurts to walk up and down stairs. So I am going to do another one of her video's tomorrow and see how it goes. But if anyone has any suggestions of any workout videos let me know. Sorry for the lack of writing and pictures I hope to do that soon.

Extremely Bad Day and Alot of Rambling......

This was an entry from I believe last Wednesday. So I am on the last little bit of being sick, Like the congestion, and always having to blow my nose. I actually got dressed in real clothes today. So after I get better, I think I will be bleaching and trying to see if I can get rid of the germs. Ok so here is what has happened today. I had to take Evan to the doctor today for his after ER visit.  I didn't have quarter's with me, they have candy machines that sit in the front of the doctor's office, and Owen always wants to get something out of the machine. So after Evan saw the doctor, he had to get one of two of  his testosterone shot's that he needs before the surgery. So I had to check in with the nurse treatment room and also get the prescription  for the testosterone and take it with me to the nurse treatment. Well I had stopped at the little place that they have in their  to get something for the kids to drink and something to snack on while we ...
what a day it has been, Cory finished his big project that he has been working on for days on end. It ended up being a little over 100 page project. He also had a 3 hour class tonight.  I am exhausted I think last night with going to the ER and waking up early because the kids got up early this morning I got around 4 1/2 hours of sleep. I think I am really exhausted and sick. Good night all!!!

My weekend plus Monday........

To start off I kind of started getting sick yesterday. I was trying to get through the kids closet and re-organize which I didn't finish, and my mother is a witness to that. Evan started feeling warm, so he hasn't been wearing his helmet because he has been sick, and he started sounding a little wheezy. At about 8 last night I wanted to give him some Tylenol and wasn't sure how much to give him since he is a preemie.  I was on hold for like 20 minutes waiting for the advice nurse, and she kind of listed to his breathing over the phone, and she could tell that it sounded like he was a little wheezy. She thought since he is a preemie that it would be a good idea to take him to the hospital to have him looked at. I ended up calling Cory and having him come home. I spent basically from 9 til about 1 or so in the ER with Evan. He had a chest x-ray and they listened to his chest and were checking his vitals to make sure he was doing ok. He ended up just having a viral thing wh...

Oh helmet's!

Well I have gotten very frustrated with the helmet today. First off,  I kind of had to start the schedule over with because well you can read it in one of the previous posts. So I am still learning how to really put the helmet on Evan. You think it would be easy not really for a couple of reasons 1) he doesn't hold up his head, so I have to kind of prop him up on my leg 2) he is wiggly 3)because its easier if he is looking at me but that is not always the case 4)and I have to get it centered just right, and that's kind of hard because of reason number 2. So I am hoping I can put his helmet on him easier and better, they said it would take some practice and I have been tempted to just forget about the whole thing but this thing cost a lot of money, and I want his head rounded out. I am hoping that I will get better putting it on him.

365 Photography-Day 1

Image
So the idea would be to take a picture a day and then post it, for 365 days. This will not only help us keep up on our "just for fun" photography, but it will help us grow a little and maybe expand our perspectives.  I am just a little behind but, oh well.  Well here are is my picture for today, well three pictures that I have taken today.  Evan hanging out with his hanging toy. Owen camped out on the couch because he is sick. Alyssa hanging out
I guess I don't read my posts very well. So I need to read them a little better, I was also typing one handed last night.

WOW

Well I guess I was a little tired Monday morning when Evan got his helmet. Well say instead of the way I thought it was for his weaning schedule for him to wear his helmet. Well the first day was wear an hour, off an hour, wear an hour, off an hour, etc.  So the scheduling for this is going to be off some. I sure felt dumb not reading it correctly until Cory pointed out what he thought the schedule paper said which made prefect sense after he explained it better to me, because the guy that did the helmet for us didn't really explain. In other events, today I was cleaning the house and I ran out to the garage for like 15 minutes to order a water filter for the refrigerator, came back in and was heading to the bathroom to clean it and I found Owen, and overfilled toilet and water all over the floor. Before I went out to the garage there was like a little more than a half a roll of tp. None after owen was in there all by himself for 15 minutes. After so much time I co...

Evan's surgery rescheduled yes again......

Well I have been trying to keep up on the house. So some of you might know, but Evan's surgery has been rescheduled again. We actually have a final date of surgery which is, April 1. I actually recieved a phone call on Monday from the urologist, he called to say that he was very sorry for all the confusion on the scheduling part and that the date was getting tossed around, and the other reason why it is being rescheduled again is because he actually will be on vacation the week of the 4th. So that gives Evan enough time to have the shots. He is going to have two shots of testosterone, and they have to be so many weeks before the surgery. One other thing is that when he goes in for surgery he can not have the slightest hint any what so ever of diaper rash. I guess my mom went into the dentist today and she said that one of the people that works there, or a patient that was right before her said that their son went in for the surgery, and when they were getting him ready he had...

Evan & His Helmet Day 2

Image
Well there is a weaning schedule that they gave me so that he can get use to the helmet. At first it was little hard to put on but i am getting use to it, but still a little hard to put on him because he can't be laying fully down, so i prop him up. So yesterday he wore it for an hour. Today he wore it for two hours, an hour this morning and hour tonight. Tomorrow three hours, than it accumulates on hour and I add in nap time than night time wear towards the end of the week. He was doing pretty good with his helmet today. Which after these pictures were taken he is not a happy camper now.  I know some of them look the same but he does look pretty cute in his helmet. I need to get some before pictures of his head before it starts changing. So the first week the head is kind getting use to it, so there is a lot of sweating. So it is washed everyday, and has to be fully dry for putting it back on. I have to wash it every day with baby soap (no fragrance). So o...
So much to blog about, but I have to get the house clean. So hopefully I will post tomorrow.

Just a little update!!!!

Cory graduates in May which is very exciting. He is on that last stretch. Cory will start student teaching pretty quick. He will be teaching at the middle school, plus putting in some observation hour's in at another middle school, plus some projects and papers. Myself, well I have been pretty busy with Evan's appointment's and have been trying to declutter and get everything caught up. I  have some goals that I would love to accomplish this year, and I am still writing some of them down. Alyssa will be 5 in April, I am excited to make her birthday cake. That is one of my favorite things to do, along with planning her birthday. She has already decided which theme for her birthday she wants and what kind of cake. She is writing her letter's very well, but it needs a little work. She loves being a big sister. Owen will be 3 in July, and I do have his birthday kind of planned. I know a little far off, (but I got birthday stuff at a store that was going out of busines...

My Bad Day!

I was working out in the garage and I didn't have shoes on and I sometimes wear slippers out into the garage. Well this time I had nothing on my feet. I ended up stepping a good size of piece of glass, and got it stuck in my foot pretty good. It was a little tough to get out but I got it out. Than after that I lifted my leg up to step over the heater and hit my knee on the cupboard. And I think it is going to bruise pretty good.

Evan

Well Evan's surgery has been rescheduled to March 4th.

Evan and Surgery

Well it has been scheduled, the surgery that is. It is scheduled for Jan 21. So just for all of you that are curious why he is having surgery. He has hipospadias, which is the opening of the urethra is on the underside and they have to fix that, plus circumcision along with that. Not sure how many surgeries, I am kind of hoping it will just be one, which will be 4 hours long. If not it could be a 2 part surgery, one 2 hrs the other 2 1/2. So it all depends. Next week he has to go in for a check up with urologist at like 4 in the afternoon. He will be at doernbecher's hospital. Not sure if it will be an overnighter yet or an out patient thing. So more to come on the whole surgery thing. I am already nervous about the whole thing, and worried!
Well I am still here I have been trying to get back on a schedule. We are still kind of recouping from New Year's. Especially the kids though. I am still working on my new year's goals. I have been lacking on energy because of going to bed pretty late on Friday night. But I am sure I will blog later today or tomorrow. Hopefully everyone had a good New Year's Eve.
