The Strasser's

Cory graduates in May which is very exciting. He is on that last stretch. Cory will start student teaching pretty quick. He will be teaching at the middle school, plus putting in some observation hour's in at another middle school, plus some projects and papers. Myself, well I have been pretty busy with Evan's appointment's and have been trying to declutter and get everything caught up. I  have some goals that I would love to accomplish this year, and I am still writing some of them down. Alyssa will be 5 in April, I am excited to make her birthday cake. That is one of my favorite things to do, along with planning her birthday. She has already decided which theme for her birthday she wants and what kind of cake. She is writing her letter's very well, but it needs a little work. She loves being a big sister. Owen will be 3 in July, and I do have his birthday kind of planned. I know a little far off, (but I got birthday stuff at a store that was going out of busines...

I was working out in the garage and I didn't have shoes on and I sometimes wear slippers out into the garage. Well this time I had nothing on my feet. I ended up stepping a good size of piece of glass, and got it stuck in my foot pretty good. It was a little tough to get out but I got it out. Than after that I lifted my leg up to step over the heater and hit my knee on the cupboard. And I think it is going to bruise pretty good.

Well Evan's surgery has been rescheduled to March 4th.

Well it has been scheduled, the surgery that is. It is scheduled for Jan 21. So just for all of you that are curious why he is having surgery. He has hipospadias, which is the opening of the urethra is on the underside and they have to fix that, plus circumcision along with that. Not sure how many surgeries, I am kind of hoping it will just be one, which will be 4 hours long. If not it could be a 2 part surgery, one 2 hrs the other 2 1/2. So it all depends. Next week he has to go in for a check up with urologist at like 4 in the afternoon. He will be at doernbecher's hospital. Not sure if it will be an overnighter yet or an out patient thing. So more to come on the whole surgery thing. I am already nervous about the whole thing, and worried!

Well I am still here I have been trying to get back on a schedule. We are still kind of recouping from New Year's. Especially the kids though. I am still working on my new year's goals. I have been lacking on energy because of going to bed pretty late on Friday night. But I am sure I will blog later today or tomorrow. Hopefully everyone had a good New Year's Eve.

Well goodbye 2010!!! Bring on 2011 I can't believe this is the last day of 2010.  My dad will be 51 tomorrow, and my niece will be 6. So much has happened that I have stuff running through my head that I would love to just blog about. But I know it is probably stuff you have heard about. But I think I will blog about it on a separate entry. I am hoping 2011 is better and that I can accomplish more of the resolutions/goals that I had wanted to do for 2010. Towards the beginning of this year I did a live list, I have my list almost done with the things that I would love to accomplish. Happy New Year to everyone and stay safe!

Yesterday I just tried underwear and he peed on the floor 3 times. than I ran out of underwear. I think I am going to have him in pull-ups until I can actually get him to go pee or poop in the potty chair, and than gradually stick him in underwear. I am a little frustrated that we haven't had a make it into the potty chair yet. I have started the timer and trying to get him on every 30 minutes or so. But haven't gotten it yet. I have been trying more liquids so I am hoping that will help.  He did have an accident wearing his pull up though. He went poop in it and I am not sure how it happened but he had it on his leg.

It has been one of those days. I am finally putting my foot down. I am trying to get Owen potty trained which has been a little bit hard especially having a baby. He has peed on the floor like three times today. I am a little frustrated, especially with this being my first time to potty train a boy, and I have forgotten how rough it is the first little while. I hope I don't get to frustrated and give up.

Well it has come down to it, I guess it has come down to two things. First off, I have decided to fully keep the blog private and I have mentioned this and done it once before and than went to being public. This is a definite thing now. I was getting a little concerned about who is actually reading my blog. So the 2nd thing Owen needs to be potty trained. I ran out of diapers, size 5 diapers were getting to be to expensive and he tell's us he has pooped in his diaper, plus it's pretty gross now. So if any of you have any potty training tips let me know. This is going to be interesting training a boy. On another note Evan is going to get his helmet in like a week. I will post pictures of him. I guess the first week of having the helmet I have to wean him into the helmet. I am a little nervous about this, but I would really like to round out his head. His surgery should be scheduled here fairly quick, which I am extremely nervous about. He will be having it done at Doernbecher...

Well we went to get breakfast ready we came back in the room and the track was different and we thought Alyssa changed it but it was all Owen. Well I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I know I haven't been blogging for a while. I hope to do that tomorrow, but I think if I don't get the blogging done tomorrow, I will probably do it by Wednesday at the latest.

Santa made a visit to Cory's parents house, and here is the pictures I have. It has been a while since I have wrote, and I am sorry about that. I have been pretty busy, I have a lot on my plate right now and trying to get ready for Christmas, which I am not ready for. Ok so the last time I wrote I was writing about Thanksgiving. Well for Thanksgiving we had family visit. Cory's brother and his family came, along with one of his cousin's and another brother of Cory's. It was a lot of fun to see all the family that came into town, because we weren't able to make it to the family reunion this summer because of all the hospital stuff that was happening. My mom's cousin came and stayed with her, I hadn't seen him since I lived in Utah and I was pretty young. So we had two thanksgiving dinner's one at the strasser's and than another at the blommer's (my mom's). I tried not to eat very much because I am trying to lose weight. I am glad that I didn't gain hardly anything with having to big meals in one day. Well the...

Well I can't believe that this year is almost gone. It has been a very interesting one. I started doing a 2010  Live List  and didn't accomplish alot of it. Well I am going to compile my new Live List for 2011. I am also working on my Christmas letter and get the Christmas cards ordered. We did have a fun thanksgiving, especially having family in town. We have been going and going. I am ready to decorate for Christmas so I guess it's time to take down the fall decor and get ready for Christmas.  And to add to all of this now I am a little bit sick. Not the greatest thing right now!

Well for Thanksgiving Cory's brother's and his cousin came into town.  Cory and I had two thanksgiving dinner's first course of dinner was at his parents. Here are some pictures. While at the coast Heather and I got dresses for Alyssa and Ashlynn at old navy for $8.50 Evan met Estrella Some of the pies I know it's not rotated, but he was on this head playing with the train and by the time I got my camera he was off his head. I made this Chocolate cream pie, and it was delicious.

 Well Wednesday we went to the beach which was not a great day to be going, because 1) it was cold,2) it was the day before Thanksgiving, and the final one 3) it was cold. I waited in the nice warm van with Heather & Evan , while Cory went out with the kids on the boat. We tried going to the  Hatfield Marine Science Center  and it is closed on Tuesday's & Wednesday's which we didn't know. While Cory and the kids were on the boat Owen tripped and burned himself on the space heater, and his coat. Good thing Cory's cousin saw him and got him quick.

Oh my goodness my day did not go the greatest. I just don't know what else to say. Basically my day consisted of trimming Alyssa's hair, before that I was going to get back on the bandwagon for potty training Owen, and I have been lacking some energy and motivation and I need to get stuff done but I haven't done a whole lot today. I have also been trying to stay on my diet and I have not been the greatest about keeping on it over this weekend. So hopefully Tuesday will be a better day, because my to do list is long.
