Wanting to eat   I couldn't just put one picture, because I think she is pretty cute, so I want to share them all that I took this morning. So funny when she goes cross eyed for a second     Well Emma had her one week appointment this morning:   Weight: 5lbs 3oz (When we checked out of the hospital she was 5lbs 1 oz.)   Length: 19 inches  (The nurse couldn't figure out how to really measure, she was a getting a smaller length also so she just went with the 19 inches) She also has some jaundice, but should eventually go away.

How we have been.....

Well it has almost been a week since little Emma has been born. So weird to have 4 kids. My mother in law came to town to help out for this week. I have been doing pretty good, I have been sore but not to bad. Tomorrow I get my staples removed and Emma get's to see her doctor on Wednesday. Alyssa is very excited to have her sister, and loves to hold her every chance she gets. Evan has finally realized that there is a baby. Not to sure about it. Owen loves helping with Emma, just like Alyssa he is excited for Emma. Cory is trying to caught up with all the school stuff, Since he took Thursday and Friday off.

Coming Home.....

Alyssa wore this same outfit from the hospital (which was from aunt kimber), but it's pretty big on Emma.   Emma in a preemie outfit, it is a little big on her     Well I was able to come home on Friday. I took some pictures of Miss Emma, she is such a cutie!

Emma Lou Strasser----C-Section

Image
Well yesterday we got a new addition to our family. Last week I was diagnosed with mild preclampsia. So this week I was suppose to take it easy as much as possible and drink lots of water. The past couple of days my blood pressure was starting to go higher. Yesterday when I went in and they took my blood pressure and it was 160/107, and after that reading they had my lay on my left side for 4 minutes and than they took another reading which I can't remember what the reading was but it was lower. Than the doctor came in and did the ultrasound and saw the the fluid level was low. Basically the placenta had stopped working. So that's when he decided to do the c-section. I ended up calling the middle school and I told them it's an emergency, and they let Cory go, he only missed one class, and took today and yesterday off.  So glad the people he works with are really nice. Cory went home and figured out a babysitter for the kids, and the neighbor picked up Alyssa from schoo...

A Little Update.....

Well we are on the second week of school now. Cory is still feeling a little overwhelmed especially with this being his first year. And it's not helping since we are having the baby a little earlier, because now he is trying to get a whole bunch of sub stuff planned just in case. But I guess if he is home for a couple of days he can also plan some to. But I can't believe it's almost time to have the baby I have been trying to take it easy as much as possible especially with 3 kids. I have to watch my bp really good and if it gets to a certain point I am suppose to call. I have had a couple of close calls, but if I lay down for a while it goes down which is really good. I am almost done with my hospital bag. Alyssa is enjoying school. She wasn't to sure about her teacher. But is now beginning to like her. She has her back to school night this week, so we will finally get to meet her teacher. She is getting very excited about her little sister. Owen well, he is Owe...

Mild Preclampsia

So it's true I have mild preclampsia. My c-section was scheduled for October 1st. But since I have this, now the doctor has moved my c-section up to either the 17th or 18th. So I am trying to last until than. Just have to keep an eye on bp and take it easy as much as possible. Kind of hard to with kids but, I want to last as long as possible. I was actually wondering if I was going to get it. But I have made it much longer than with Evan. Which I am very grateful.   I am almost a full 36 weeks, and I guess if I have to have a c-section sooner than what they are talking about than I will be sent to Medford because they have a NICU. So all thoughts and prayer's would be very much appreciated.

Doctor's Appointment

Well I am sure some of you are wondering how my appointment went yesterday. It has a been a little overwhelming since the appointment. But I did have some blood work done. Which the results came back normal. My bp was a little high when I went in. And they always have you pee in a cup. Well I am not sure if it was at this appointment or last appointment but they had results saying there is a little bit higher level of protein in my urine. So I am having to do a collection for 24hrs. He was saying I possibly could start getting preclampsia again. So he said if it's a mild case right now we could possibly have the baby within a couple of weeks. But we are waiting to see what the results are. So by Friday or Monday we will know what is going to happen. So I have been trying to take it easy as much as possible and watching my bp, plus drinking lots of water.

Well we tried out a new beach the other day. It's more near the border. Plus Cory heard that people have been fishing near the mouth of the river that meets the ocean at this beach. We have been trying to figure out the fishing around here.       Ya Evan loves the sand.   Cory trying out the fishing, we didn't catch anything expect for a little bit of seaweed. Evan with Cory in the water        Evan loved watching the waves   Evan attacked his daddy
