Well I can't believe February is almost over with. March 2nd Evan is having is final surgery. I am nervous about it. But I trust that his doctor well do a very good job. I think this one might be a 5 hour surgery. Well I will found out more information next week at his pre-op appointment. I will have to find some things that I can keep busy with while I sit up at the hospital.

Well today I went back to Portland to get my aunt again, because she is going to be heading back to Utah. While we were in Portland we went to Voodoo Doughnuts and got a dozen doughnuts.

Valentine's Day was a lot of fun. I volunteered at Alyssa's school in the morning. That Cory and I went to the ward activity for the adults. Below are some pictures of the present that I made for Cory. Cory bought me some daises and some chocolates.

As mentioned in the previous post. My aunt was visiting her daughter in Portland, we went and got her and went to the zoo. But after the zoo we took her home with us to spend a few days together, we really haven't seen or spent a lot of time with her in a long time.  Since  Alyssa didn't have school one of the days she was visiting us we headed to the coast. It was COLD! But we tried to stay warm. I know lots of pictures of the ocean, I love seeing the ocean.

Well it has been a week since I have blogged something. But we are doing good. Nothing new has been going on. Alyssa is enjoying school. She is taking ballet. I still need to take a picture of our little ballerina. She loves being a ballerina. Owen is our funny boy, and very loving. Evan is finally crawling pretty good, and is feeding himself. I can't wait until he can use a sippy cup all by himself. He is going to have surgery on March 2nd. I guess that is all for now.

My aunt was visiting her daughter that lives in Portland. We thought it would be fun to go to the Zoo, last Friday, so we invited her to go with us. It was a lot of fun, cold and sunny, but a lot of fun. Here's some pictures!

So my final class in course one was this week. We learned how to make roses, and did a final cake. 3rd Rose 2nd Rose 1st Rose Here is my final cake, I wasn't sure what to put on the cake, so Alyssa suggested Hello Kitty. Here is kind of a side of view, I made the flower's that are on the side and let them dry for a few days. Alyssa was happy about the cake.

So this week we decorated cupcakes. Some of the pictures are a blurry because I got frosting on my phone. Next week I get to design my own cake. Not sure what I am going to do yet. Here are some pictures of the mum cupcakes. She said you could use this technique for making like monsters. Maybe for Evan's birthday I could do like cookie monster.   Practicing the shell technique Praciticing my Star Drop Flowers, Swirl Drop Flowers. I think my favorite are the swirl drop!! I think I will make some swirl drop flowers and dry thm and stick them on the cake that I make next week.

I never posted some goals that I want to accomplish during the year. But one of them I want to do is see how many books that I can read during the year.

Well I received a new book in the mail this Tuesday.  Cory's cousins wife wrote this book. *** I started reading this Wednesday and I finished it last night.***

Well I have finally signed up to take a cake decorating class. I will probably contiue with taking some classes. I really enjoy this, so I wanted to learn more things about decorating cakes.  So here is a picture of my first cake of the class. It is a chocolate cake with strawberry freezer jam, it has some small chunks.   It tasted pretty good! next week cupcakes!

Well since we have been doing the so much money out each week. I have decided to set some money aside for Alyssa to do something she has been wanting to do for sometime. She got signed up to do ballet. She had her first class yesterday. I would have had a picture of her yesterday but my battery was dead so next Saturday I will get a picture of her. I also signed up to do something that I have been wanting to do for quite some time. I signed up for a cake decorating class. I am so excited to do this because I love to do this, espeically when it's one of the kids birthdays. Evan had his frist day in nursery today and he did really well. Owen had his first day in sunbeams and he did well, but he did miss nursery. Cory has been looking for a job. He applied for one and had a interview and didn't get the job. Well that is kind of what we have been up to.
