The Strasser's

So Owen is 6 weeks old, and is getting bigger each day. I will post some pictures later. He loves watching Alyssa. But he doesn't seem to fond of her sometimes. His favorite thing right now is his mobile. He was making noise as it was going round. He actually smiled at Cory yesterday, it wasn't gas.

So last night we put in an offer on a house. I am really nervous I hope that they expect the offer. It's a two bedroom 1 bath house. We are hoping to add a master bath and bedroom. I am really excited to have place that I can actually do anything to the walls that I want and hang up curtains. So we will see what happens. There is another house that we are looking at that might do if this one falls through. So pray for us! On another note Owen is getting blessed on Sunday. I will post pictures of him in his blessing outfit.

So we got Alyssa some water colors and finger paints. She really loves the finger paints. So now we have a bunch of pictures that she has done. Alyssa loved having Cory finger paint with her.

So yesterday we went to the state fair. It was pretty hot! I got my neck, arms, and face sunburned. Cory and Alyssa got some sun also. Owen was mostly in his stroller or shaded. He did pretty well. We saw the chinese acrobats (well I didn't see very much of the show), what I saw of it was really cool. Little update on the kids cause there isn't really much to say of what Cory and I are up to. But we have looked at a couple of houses, nothing yet. I did forget to mention that I did lose 3.5 lbs when I weighed in yesterday at weight watchers. Alyssa: Well she is still basically potty trained. Expect for going poop still on the toilet. She loves Owen. She tries to play with him. Her favorite foods right now are Mac and Cheese and pancakes. She is starting to count, she can get up to 10 sometimes. Owen: He is a month and a week old. He is holding his head up pretty well. He is kind of starting to smile and make noises. He likes to watch Alyssa. He doesn't like it when she is in his face all the time.

So I got some pictures yesterday. Owen was having some tummy time. I tried getting one of him having his head up, I didn't manage to. Hopefully soon though he holds his head up pretty well.

So I was on the computer and I could hear Alyssa messing around in the bathroom. I went to check on her and she had gotten into some makeup.

So I have been doing weight watcher's for a couple of days and haven't been doing a real good job about keeping track of what I have been eating and points. So I hope to do better today. Weigh in went better than I thought it would. So I have been trying to take my vitamin D once to twice a day and I have noticed a difference of my mood. So we are trying to look for a house. I am so excited that we will eventually live in a house soon. I haven't lived in a house for over 10 years. I hope to not live in apartment again after buying a house. I finally finished the last few pages of Breaking Dawn. I just haven't had a whole lot of time when two kids. Plus it was in the car one night and I needed to read something while I was nursing Owen. So now I am reading The Sweet Far Thing (The Gemma Doyle Trilogy) I need to start the book for the book club though. The Alexandria Link

So If I don't have your link in the friends and family section let me know so I can add it. So this last week we went to Utah. I was really hoping to go to the wedding and I am glad that we went. And I was wanting to see my dad. It can be hard to be around him sometimes cause of his brain damage, cause he repeats himself a lot. It was really good to see him and my other family. While at the reception I caught up with some friends. Chelsey's and my 5th grade teacher was at the reception. He looks the same just older. He remembered who I am and the nickname that he gave me. Everyone loved Alyssa cause she has such character. She loved being with her grandpa and her great-grandpa. She loved playing with her 2nd cousin Jordan. She would follow him all around. So I have been reading alot. I joined the wards book club. We are reading the Alexandria link. I haven't started it yet. I hoping to get a copy and start reading it. I have read several books in the past month or so. I ha...

So this last week we went to Logan for a wedding for a very good friend of mine that I have known since 5th grade. I was really excited to go to her wedding. Plus she was a bridesmaid for me. Her and I have been through a lot. Since her brother is on his mission in Canada. Audrey took a picture of him and enlarged it and put it on cardboard. Cory and I had our picture taken with the cut out of James. Their wedding cake was really pretty.

So I have done 3 entries with updates on all of us. Cory and I don't really have up that we are up to, but I still updated on us a little. Cory is helping Aleta and Joe get the business going. I have been busy with two kids and trying to keep the house clean. I just joined weight watchers my first meeting is tomorrow. I am really into reading right now. I have been reading Breaking Dawn. I love this series. I can't wait until the movie comes out in December for the first book. So if anyone has recommendations for books to read let me know. I think I look pretty tired in this picture.

Well Owen is 3 weeks today. When he was born he weighed 8 lbs 8 oz. His first doctor's appointment was last Monday and he weighed 9 lbs 10 oz. He loves to basically eat, sleep and poop. He has basically only been getting up at around 2:30 and than at around 6 in the morning. So it's not to bad. When he's awake he's very alert. He hates being squished by his sister. Alyssa & Owen

So Alyssa is excited to be a big sister. She loves Owen. She pokes at him and tries squishing him. We have to keep a close eye on her! She is still basically potty trained she does have accidents., but we are trying to be patient with the whole situation. She was going poop on the toilet but she goes every now and then. She loves nursery! Every time we pull into the church parking lot she yells, "Nursery". Yesterday after someone was done speaking in sacrament meeting right before the closing song, she yelled nursery, the family in front of us started laughing. So her nursery leader's should be really happy that she loves nursery that much. Her favorite foods right now are mac n cheese, and pizza. So I joined Weight Watchers!! I am very excited to start losing some weight. I know it will be some time before I am pre-pregnancy weight. But I am ready to start. Cory will be doing it with me. Last time I joined it worked really well until I quit going to the meetings. This time I am definitely going to the meetings to stay on track.

So Owen had his first doctor's appointment today. He weighs 9 lb 10 oz!! He is a little eater. I was really surprised. I hope he doesn't get huge really fast. So I got Breaking Dawn and I am just starting to read it.

So Owen is a week old today! I am doing really good. I wasn't in a whole lot of pain. I feel pretty good about the labor experience. I am proud of myself for doing most of two hours without the epidural. There have been a couple of nights where it only got up around 2 and than 6. I hope we can get some more nights like that. It has been weird having two kids. Alyssa is loving Owen lots. She has started going poop on the toilet voluntary. We are really surprised. She has had a few accidents. Cory's birthday is on Sunday. He is doing pretty good.
