The Strasser's

So last night Alyssa finally went pee in her potty chair we have been trying to get her to go for sometime. Before Christmas she was going poop in her chair and we went to Utah and she lost all her progress. So last night she said she needed to go potty and she pulled off her diaper. So she went pee on the floor but managed to get some in her potty chair. Well she came out of the bathroom trying to tell us that she went pee, she slipped and fell on the pee and bit her lip.

Well I had another appointment today. I guess it is official that the doctor is doing to do another ultrasound when I am in my 3rd trimester, to make sure that the baby is growing fine. I go in to the doctor in 2 weeks to have the diabetes test, and for another check up. I didn't see the doctor today cause she was on call today, I guess around my appointment she was delivering her 4th or 5th baby of the day. So I will be talking to her next time about the main ultrasound a little more.

Well we are doing good, just trying to survive. We have been working hard trying to earn some money. But over all we are doing pretty good. Alyssa loves pointing out colors. She loves to pick the color of the cup she drinks out of. She has been saying "wow" alot. She calls Cory by his name, she also calls him dad & papa. She loves playing with her baby dolls. She will be 2 next week. She is getting so big. Cory has been going to school. He graduates June 15th. He hasn't gotten a job offer yet. We are really hoping he has something for when he graduates. He is very worried cause he hasn't received one. So if anyone hears of a job offer let us know. I am starting to feel more pregnant. It is so weird to feel the baby. The heartburn is ok right now. I am pretty much over my cold that I had. I still have a little bit of a cough, but it seems to be going away pretty fast. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to see how I am growing. Still hoping that I won...

Well I haven't written in a week. I have been kind of busy. We finally got our taxes done yesterday while listening to General Conference online. I wish we got it on a local channel so we could actually watch it. So we owe quite a bit of money for taxes.

So I got Cory reading the Twilight series now. He says that likes so far. Now he has to wait for the 2nd & 3rd in the series to come home so he can read those. They are pretty good books. I can't wait until the movie comes out. So I forgot to mention in a previous entry that Alyssa does know purple. So altogether that I can remember right now she knows pink, blue, purple, and I think there might be another color she knows.

So I haven't gotten any really good pictures of Alyssa smiling and I made a deal with her and since she went to church in one of my favorite dresses, I wanted to get pictures. So here they are. I can't believe that she will be 2 years old on the 19th of this month. Alyssa saying "cheese"

Well I am still sick, but I am feeling a lot better. I stayed home from church cause I still have a sore throat, congestion, and my ears still hurt some. I didn't want to get the kids sick cause we are in nursery. I just wanted to share what we have been working on with Alyssa. I have been working with her just about each day on colors. Well so far she has pink, blue, green, and purple, pretty much down at this point. I have been trying to get her potty trained but all she really wants to do is get in the bathtub. She says potty and than when we take off her diaper to stick her on the toilet she starts trying to take off her clothes and says bath & bubbles. Alyssa is pretty sneaky! So I am really really putting my foot down this week. I am going to go to the store with her and by her some underwear that she will wear. I know I have should have been trying more with her. But the diaper changing has to stop. Her vocabulary is up more, so now she says change, pee, and poop. I ha...

Well last night I ran a fever. Around 7:00 last night I checked my temp and it was a 101.1. But it did go down. So I was getting up several times last night to make sure that my temp didn't get high again. My trying to drink lots of liquids cause I took some tussin dm. But I still feel horrible. My ears started hurting.

Well spring break is almost over with. We haven't done anything really fun. Monday Cory and I were cleaning, than I took him to the airport. Tuesday I was cleaning some more, and that night I went and picked up Cory from the airport. Wednesday we were cleaning some more, and that's when it finally hit me. I am sick. I have had a really bad sore throat for a couple of days now, with watery eyes. I thought it was allergies on Wednesday cause we were cleaning and I thought the dust had gotten to me, nope I took an allergy pill and it had some effect not a whole lot. So yesterday and today I have been down all day. Sleeping a whole lot. This morning Cory went to medford for a job interview. So I am by myself with Alyssa, it's a little hard with her because I am trying to rest and get better. Cory actually called the bishop to see if he could come and give me a blessing cause Cory wasn't here. So they got a hold of our home teachers, whom we didn't know who they are, cau...

Well we hope everyone had a good easter. This morning we actually colored our eggs cause yesterday we didn't get around to dying them. For Easter dinner we went to my grandma's and ate with my grandma and my mom. So below is some pictures of Alyssa dying some eggs. She had a lot of fun. You can probably tell that her hands have some color. Some of the eggs after they were dyed she would redo them. We did have a easter basket with a few things them. I tried not to many things, cause Cory is trying to watch his weight. So this week Cory as a job interview in Sacramento, tomorrow he flies out. We are hoping to go to the beach sometime and have some fun. I am hoping to clean the garage. Friday he has another interview in Medford. Cory got some of his grades back, he got 4 B's. This last term was pretty hard for him. Next term is his last term. Hopefully next term is easier for him. He was really worried that he wouldn't pass them. Our little artist at work. So Alyssa has been wanting to go to the park and play on the slides. Well it hasn't been the nicest weather, so finally since it was nice we went to the school across the street and let her run around. I took a few pictures while we were there. So today we went to an Easter egg hunt at an assisted living center over by the hospital. Alyssa did pretty well with getting the idea of putting the eggs in her bucket.

So I have a vote going on for baby names on facebook in the strasser net group. I am going to post the list of names we are considering on here so we can get more input. So post a comment on which one you like. Than we will narrow it down. Skyler Dean Zach Leroy Sam Levi Kyle So I am doing pretty good. I know I haven't posted many pictures in a long time. Well Easter weekend is coming up so I should be taking some pictures. Hopefully a lot of pictures. Alyssa is getting big. She is learning her colors and is doing pretty well, she gets green and blue mixed up sometimes. I am trying to work with her each day.

So Cory is flying to Sacramento on Monday, for a job interview.

Well the heartburn stage has started. It's not real bad right now. I remember last time that I didn't enjoy this part at all last pregnancy because I threw up more. So if anyone has any suggestions for heartburn please send them. Tums don't work though so. This baby is a mover. The other night Cory and I sat feeling the baby move, and listened to the heartbeat. I plan on posting a pregnancy profile picture soon. I just have to catch Cory when he's not so busy this week. So one of the entries earlier I didn't put the word umbilical in so I have had a call or two about that so I have put that in there. But I will put updates of how it goes with that.

So I stayed up late last night to help Cory get ready for today. Help him fill out an application, iron white shirt, and cut his hair. He was trying to finish an assignment that is due today. Cory went to an interview in Vancouver today. He has two interviews with the company today, Fisher Investments. He has a whole day thing there they are going to take him out for lunch and dinner, he has 2 interviews in the afternoon, and a whole bunch of informational stuff. So today I am going to clean.

So this week is Dead week. Cory has been pretty busy so far this week with projects, presentations, and a final yesterday. Next week he has one final than the next morning he has two finals back to back. Yesterday I went to the campus to give him a little break from studying so we walked around the campus a little bit, to help relief some of the stress. On Monday he has a job interview. So Cory is going to really like Spring Break to have some sort of break from school. Well I think I might be coming down with what Alyssa had. It was very nice of her to share, Cory might have a little of it. Which is not good because of finals. So the other day the doctor called to talk about the ultrasound. Everything looks good, expect for the umbilical cord. The umbilical cord is suppose to have 2 arteries and 1 vein in it, well the one inside me only has 1 artery and 1 vein. So there is a chance of a low birth weight. Well the baby is up to weight right now. They are worried about later on. If I ...

Well I have been trying to keep busy. Trying not to get sick. There have been some days were I just feel really nauseated and tired, and there are others were I am not. I have busy trying to keep the apartment cleaned, the books, and trying to make Alyssa feel better. I am going to have to buy maternity clothes here pretty quick, Cory had thought I had more. Plus I need some summer maternity clothes. I have been taking a parenting class with some the ladies in the stake. I have learning some new stuff each time I go. I am really waiting for the class called "thumb suckers, & toilet training". Just because Alyssa is a thumb sucker, and we are having problems trying to get her potty trained. There is a link on the blog called "Mom's & Muffins". So that's basically what I have been up to!

Lately Alyssa has been sick. She has a cough, runny nose, sneezing, and water eyes. So she has basically just been sitting down/laying down, either wanting to read or watch movies. Some of the things she has been liking to do lately is: She likes to pat on her back, Cory's back, and my back, and say "K". Asking if we are all right. She has been wanting lots of baths with bubbles. She loves to go outside.
